Do you still have questions as to where my tax refund is many months after you submitted your return?

Read the complete story to know more about IRS Tax refunds and approximately when you are going to receive them.

You are not the only one going through this, and people couldn't wait any longer.

As compared to the same point in time in 2022, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is well behind in processing tax filings.

The IRS was forced to close its operations for an extended period of time in 2020, and it has failed to catch up from there.

This resulted in significant delays in the processing of tax refunds.

...particularly for individuals who submitted their taxes on paper.

According to the taxpayer advocate, there are more than 21.3 million pending returns are there, by the end of may.

That includes 8.2 million individual returns which needs to be processed.

Last year, this number was little less than 20 million with over 6 million personal filings.

Before the pandemic year, the IRS stated that it has paid the Tax refunds in just 4 to 6 weeks after filing.

But, now it's more than 6 months and you have no other chance to wait for some more time.

The IRS director has vowed to clear all the pending backlogs this year, but it doesn't seem to be working that way.

Phone service is also a big mess nowadays as they are helping to clear the physical filings. So, we need to be patient for some more time.
